Teaching dance, movement and physical fitness since 1976, privately and publicly to individuals and groups of all ages, at the same time Pamela became fascinated with yoga as an intriguing source of gaining more insight and knowledge of the wonders of the human potential. She began integrating the poses, breathing, relaxation, concentration and meditation techniques in her daily discipline, and with her private clients.

In 1980, She began teaching yoga formally in yoga studios and sports gyms in the San Francisco Bay Area.

In 1989, she took her personal training business to new heights by creating a mindful fitness program, “Body Awareness”, instructing people through workshops and one-on-one instruction how to use the power of the mind to create health and lasting well being, long before the popular mind body connection trend.

Pamela had the “Body Awareness” business until 1999, when she founded and established the San Francisco Yoga School (SFYS), a private studio in her home, where she continues to teach classes, workshops and see private clients.

In 2020, due to the prompting of the Pandemic, and a California Grant, the SFYS pivoted to online programs.

Currently we now offer in-person individual and group sessions, outdoor classes, on location classes, and online programs!

In 2024, the SFYS celebrates it’s 25nd anniversary!

Also in 2024, Pamela gratefully celebrates 47+ years of personal and professional experience and practice in yoga, meditation, movement, Integral and Healing Arts.
